Divisional Functions:
- Planning and providing comfortable residential areas
- Providing business and commercial premises and facilities
- Implementing housing administration
- Determining areas and maintaining houses in urban centres and traditional villages
- Determining and reviewing measures to enable low-income residents to own homes at affordable rates
- Administering housing in urban centres and traditional villages in accordance with established regulations
- Privatisation
- Identifying land areas according to land use and suitability
- Submitting land applications for the provision of ownership
- Conducting land survey works, supervision and valuation
- Maintaining an up-to-date and secure inventory of the Board's land and property assets
- Managing land sales, including the computation of house prices and obtaining title deeds for land, buildings and related assets
- Endorsing land acquisition plans for projects in alignment with government requirements
- Managing insurance coverage for property assets and office premises
- Overseeing property management and other related matters on an ongoing basis
- Responsible for all aspects of urban administration, social services, basic amenities and local authority functions in urban areas
- Conducting engineering surveys and land title surveys
- Implementing enforcement
- Developing special projects
