House Fire Victim Left with Nothing

Misfortune struck the family of Mr. Luqman Hakim bin Alias, an employee of KETENGAH serving at the Seri Bandi Municipal Office, when the house he rented with his four family members was engulfed in flames early this morning. He received a phone call from a neighbor at 8:56 a.m. and rushed home, but the fire had already spread rapidly, destroying the entire house. According to him, he was unable to save anything, including his motorcycle and car, and could only watch from a distance as the flames consumed his home.
According to the Al Muktafi Billah Shah Fire and Rescue Department, the fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. The total extent of the losses is still under investigation by the fire department.
YBrs. Mr. Zainuddin bin Haji Md. Zaki, Deputy General Manager (Development) of KETENGAH, visited to check on the family and presented immediate aid contributed by KETENGAH officers and staff.
Also present was Mr. Hasri bin Omar, Administration and Human Resources Manager. It was reported that KETENGAH has provided temporary accommodation for Mr. Luqman’s family.
We, the KETENGAH community, pray that all matters will be eased and hope that he remains strong in facing this trial from the Almighty.
