From 12 to 13 June 2024, KETENGAH conducted a course and informative visit to the Poultry Technology Institute (ITU), Masjid Tanah, Melaka, including a visit to ITU’s poultry farming operations.

The visit was led by the Assistant Manager (Economics and Livestock) from the Economics and Entrepreneurship Division, Mr. Latiff bin Muhamad, along with three KETENGAH officers and staff. In addition, 12 poultry entrepreneurs from the KETENGAH region participated in the course and informative visit.

The main objective of the visit was to gain knowledge and enhance skills in poultry farming, particularly in aspects of care, disease control, and farm management. The farm visit also provided exposure to ITU’s poultry projects, allowing participants to learn best practices that could be adapted for poultry projects in KETENGAH.

Also present were ITU staff, including the Director of the Poultry Technology Institute, Dr. Abdul Wafi bin Shaari, as well as Mr. Abdul Basir bin Abdul Samat and Ms. Fauziah binti Ahmad.
