CANON BIRDING PHOTO MARATHON x KBNQ 2026

The KBNQ 2026 programme, organised by Ping Anchorage together with Canon in collaboration with KETENGAH and several government agencies, took place from April 17 to 19, 2026. It successfully attracted 65 participants comprising environmental activists, wildlife enthusiasts, academic researchers, and international tourists (from Texas and Canada), who made Tasik Kenyir their main destination for ecotourism and sustainable tourism in Malaysia.
The annual programme, lasting 3 days, started with a flag-off at the Kenyir Information Center (KIC) KETENGAH and serves as a catalyst for ecotourism, packed with knowledge-sharing.
Among the locations involved are Hentian Cengal, Hornbill Valley, Tasik Kenyir. This is because Tasik Kenyir is a habitat for approximately 296 bird species.
KBNQ not only introduces Terengganu's natural treasures to the world but also serves as a platform to foster public awareness about the importance of preserving Malaysia's forest biodiversity, especially endangered species like the Hornbill and the Rafflesia flower.
