APPLICATION OF IHSAN IN SHAPING INTEGRITY AS THE CORE OF CHARACTER BUILDING

AL MUKTAFI BILLAH SHAH, DUNGUN, April 19, 2026 – The Central Terengganu Development Board (KETENGAH) remains committed to strengthening integrity values among its staff through a talk titled “Application of Ihsan in Shaping Integrity-53 Years Upholding Trust” which took place at the Main Hall, KETENGAH Headquarters, today.
This program was organized by the KETENGAH Integrity Unit in collaboration with the Joint Departmental Council (MBJ), Kelab 3K, PUSPANITA KETENGAH Sub-Branch, and AKRAB KETENGAH as a continuous effort to cultivate noble values and excellent work ethics within the organization.
The talk was delivered by YBrs. Ustazah Nazirah binti Abu Bakar, Senior Assistant Director, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), who emphasized the importance of internalizing the concept of ihsan as the main foundation in building personal integrity.
In her presentation, she introduced the acronym “JUJUR” (Honest) as a practical guide in daily life, which stands for:
• J – Jaga (Be mindful) that Allah is always observing every action
• U – Usaha (Strive) to the best of one's ability in fulfilling trusts
• J – Jaga (Maintain) prayers as the pillar of self-strength
• U – Urus (Manage) trusts as best as possible
• R – Rasa (Feel) fear of the Day of Judgment
She also stressed that strengthening integrity is not limited to work aspects alone, but needs to be empowered through continuous practice in daily life. In this regard, she reminded the attendees with a brief but profound message: “Maintain prayers, maintain the Quran, and maintain tahajud.”
Also present at the event were YBhg. To’ Puan Anizal binti Yusoff, Chairperson of PUSPANITA KETENGAH Sub-Branch, members of the management, and staff of KETENGAH and Ketengah Holding Sdn. Bhd.
It is hoped that programs like this will continue to strengthen a culture of integrity in line with organizational aspirations and the national development agenda.
