Dungun, 16 June 2026 | In conjunction with the 1448 Hijrah New Year Celebration, the KETENGAH Regional Early Hijriyyah Year and Safety and Prosperity Prayer Ceremony was held at Masjid Kampung Serdang Dungun, Terengganu. The ceremony began with congregational Maghrib prayers before continuing with a lecture titled “Hijrah, Building an Excellent Ummah” delivered by YBhg. Ustaz Dato’ Dr. Haji Zulkifly bin Muda, former Mufti of Terengganu. In his lecture, he elaborated on the meaning of hijrah as a transformative process that needs to be applied in every individual's life to produce a knowledgeable, morally upright, united, and competitive society.

The ceremony then proceeded with the recitation of the Early Hijrah Year Prayer led by YBhg. Ustaz Abdul Hadi bin Che Ab Halim, the 2026 Terengganu State Level Al-Quran Recitation Champion. Prayers were offered for the new Hijrah year to bring blessings, prosperity, safety, and well-being to all people, especially the residents of the KETENGAH region.

The organisation of this ceremony is hoped to ignite the spirit of hijrah as a foundation for self-improvement and strengthening faith, while fostering unity and commitment in building an excellent, prosperous ummah that receives the blessings of Allah SWT in this world and the hereafter.
