Kemaman, 16 June 2026 | A ray of happiness emerged for three Orang Asli families as their dream of owning a home finally came true through the People's Housing Programme (PPRS).

The replica house key handover ceremony was officiated by Yang Mulia Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, KETENGAH General Manager, together with Encik Mohd Abdillah bin Ali, Terengganu JAKOA Officer, Dr. Mohd Zaki bin Haji Salleh, Air Putih State Assemblyman JPKKP Coordinator, Encik Roslan bin Semail, Tok Batin of Sungai Pergam Orang Asli Community, and Encik Yu bin Kedam, Chairman of JPKKOA Sungai Pergam. The handover symbolises the continuous commitment of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) through KETENGAH in ensuring the welfare of the people is always prioritised.

Puan Habsah Endah (56 years old), Puan Basirah Bali (28 years old) and Encik Khairul Nizam (27 years old) from Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Pergam, Kemaman, are the recipients of aid under the People's Housing Programme (PPRS) within the KETENGAH region. The house, built at a cost of RM79,000.00, provides a safer and more comfortable home for them and their families.

This programme is a government initiative to help the poor and hardcore poor own better quality homes. The houses built meet safety specifications and are equipped with complete basic facilities to ensure the comfort and well-being of the recipients.

Yayasan KETENGAH also presented gas stoves to the three families to ease their basic needs.
