KETENGAH Reaches Out to Community Through Sinar Syawal Programme and Welfare Contributions

AL MUKTAFI BILLAH SHAH, 16 March 2026 – The Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH) continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting communities within its region through the organisation of the 2026 Festive Cookie Distribution Programme, alongside the presentation of Sinar Syawal contributions and aid from the KETENGAH Community Trust Fund (TAMK). The meaningful event was held at the Community-Based Rehabilitation Centre (PPDK) AMBS.
The ceremony was officiated by Tuan Haji Mahdi Amin bin Ahmad, Deputy General Manager (Operations) of KETENGAH, accompanied by Encik Mohd Azmi bin Muda, Chairman of PPDK AMBS. Also present was Encik Jafre bin Taib, Manager of Community and Social Development. The presence of KETENGAH’s leadership on the ground reflects the agency’s concern in providing moral support to participants and their families as Ramadan draws to a close.
Through allocations from the KETENGAH Community Trust Fund (TAMK), a total of 35 PPDK AMBS participants received cash contributions. The event was further enlivened with the distribution of festive cookies contributed by the PPDK Al Muktafi Billah Shah Committee, symbolising preparations for Aidilfitri.
The assistance provided is expected to ease the financial burden of families while bringing joy to recipients in welcoming Syawal. This initiative also reflects KETENGAH’s corporate social responsibility in ensuring that the welfare of persons with disabilities continues to be prioritised.
KETENGAH extends its appreciation to all parties involved in making this programme a success. May the spirit of togetherness and compassion continue to be strengthened within the KETENGAH region
