KETENGAH’s Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strengthening Module (MPGIA) Reinforces Organisational Governance

The Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strengthening Module (MPGIA) course for officers and staff of the Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH) was held from 10 to 12 February 2026 (Tuesday to Thursday) at Hotel Puteri Bay.
Organised by KETENGAH’s Integrity Unit in collaboration with the Melaka Institute of Management and Integrity (INSPIM), the course involved 34 participants comprising members of the Management and Professional Group as well as the Implementation Group.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Encik Mohd Radzi bin Md. Noor, KETENGAH’s Manager of Property and Local Authority Affairs. In his address, he emphasised that governance, integrity and corruption prevention must be accorded serious attention and implemented consistently to ensure that organisational governance remains at the highest standard.
Weak governance, breaches of integrity and corruption risks constitute among the principal challenges in public sector management, with the potential to erode public trust, undermine service delivery effectiveness and damage institutional reputation. As such, the strengthening of integrity, accountability and sound governance values must be pursued systematically and in a structured manner among KETENGAH personnel, in line with its role as a regional development authority.
To ensure compliance and effective implementation of integrity initiatives, each MPGIA programme is reported through the Agency Integrity Management System (AIMS), overseen by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). This reporting mechanism serves as a centralised monitoring tool to assess compliance levels and evaluate the impact of integrity enhancement initiatives at the organisational level, thereby reinforcing governance standards and preventing misconduct and corruption.
The organisation of the course reflects KETENGAH’s sustained commitment to cultivating a culture of integrity and excellence in governance, aligned with the aspirations of an accountable and high-integrity public service.
