The Lembaga Kemajuan Terengganu Tengah (KETENGAH) organised a Special Prayer for Safety and Well-Being ceremony, followed by the MADANI Islamic Affairs Discourse for the KETENGAH Region 2026M / 1447H at the Pusat Islam, Bandar Ketengah Jaya, Dungun, Terengganu.

The programme was held as a spiritual enrichment initiative for staff and residents of the KETENGAH region, aimed at enlivening the month of Shaaban and preparing for the arrival of Ramadan, a month regarded as one of mercy and blessings.

The discourse, themed “Ramadan in the Heart, Ihsan in the Self”, featured invited panellists Ustaz Dato’ Dr. Haji Zulkifly bin Muda and Ustaz Syed Abdul Kadir bin Syed Hussin Al-Joofre, with the session moderated by Ustaz Nabil bin Ahmad. The discussion emphasised the internalisation of the value of ihsan (excellence in character and conduct), moral development, and the strengthening of Muslim identity in line with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI.

Among the key messages highlighted was the importance of fasting as a means of cultivating personal discipline and noble character. Fasting was described not merely as abstaining from food and drink, but as a practice that nurtures patience, trustworthiness and self-discipline. It also serves as a pathway to deepen devotion to Allah SWT and to strengthen bonds within the community.

The panellists further advised Muslims to exercise prudence in spending during Ramadan and to avoid wastefulness, consistent with Islamic teachings that advocate moderation in all aspects of life. Attendees were also encouraged to increase supplication, with the hope that this year’s Ramadan would be the most meaningful yet, filled with enduring mercy, blessings and honour.

Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, General Manager of KETENGAH; Encik Zainuddin bin Haji Md Zaki, Deputy General Manager (Development); Tuan Haji Mahdi Amin bin Ahmad, Senior Manager (Corporate); members of the management team, officers and staff of KETENGAH, as well as local leaders and community members.

The organisation of the programme not only served as a platform for spiritual strengthening and communal unity, but also introduced the Pusat Islam Bandar Ketengah Jaya as a centre for religious activities and character development within the local community.
