KETENGAH successfully participated in the Desa Madani Compassion Program and Merdeka & Rural Exploration 2024, organized by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW).

The program, held in conjunction with the 2024 National Month Celebrations, began with the Merdeka Exploration from the Independence Memorial Square, Melaka, involving various ministries and heads of government departments. The main focus was to serve as a platform for spreading national awareness and patriotism. The convoy, led by the Director General of KEMAS Malaysia, YBhg. Dato’ Ahmad Kamal Idris bin Mohd Nawawi, arrived in Terengganu on 13 August 2024 (Tuesday).

To celebrate the Merdeka & Rural Exploration, KETENGAH collaborated with the KEMAS Terengganu State Department to organize various programs and activities at each stop and Flag Off points.

Starting at the first checkpoint at Arena Square, Kemaman, officiated by KETENGAH Chairman, YBhg. Dato’ Seri (Dr.) Haji Ahmad bin Said, together with General Manager, YM Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, the Merdeka Exploration continued to the Kuala Abang, Dungun checkpoint and overnighted at The Payang Scout Hotel, Kuala Nerus.

On the second and final day in Terengganu, the Merdeka & Rural Exploration 2024 proceeded to the next destination, Kelantan. The event was flagged off and the KKDW Desa Madani Compassion Program in Terengganu officially launched by Ketengah Holding Sdn. Bhd. Chairman, YBhg Dato’ Nik Dir bin Nik Wan Ku, alongside Deputy General Manager (Development) of KETENGAH, YBrs. Encik Zainuddin bin Haji Md Zaki.

It is hoped that the Merdeka & Rural Exploration 2024 will achieve its objectives and complete the mission safely and successfully. KETENGAH congratulates all parties involved in making the Desa Madani Compassion Program KKDW 2024 a success.
