The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) conducted a monitoring visit to project sites at Kenyir Lake, led by YBrs. Encik Surrendran Sathasivam, Deputy Secretary-General (Management) of MOTAC.

The visit aimed to review the progress of the replacement and upgrading of six tourism jetties at Kenyir Lake, which is now in its final phase of implementation. This project is among the government’s initiatives to strengthen the country’s tourism infrastructure and enhance the experience of visitors at key eco-tourism sites.

Also present was Tuan Haji Mahdi Amin bin Ahmad, Senior Manager (Corporate) of KETENGAH, who accompanied the Deputy Secretary-General (Management) of MOTAC and the delegation on visits to three jetty locations: Air Terjun Lasir, Taman Herba, and Air Terjun Saok.

The visit concluded at Taman Orkid, where KETENGAH presented souvenirs to the Deputy Secretary-General (Management) of MOTAC and the delegation as a token of appreciation.

With the completion of these upgrading projects, Kenyir Lake is expected to continue being one of the country’s iconic tourism destinations, aligning with the government’s efforts to develop a sustainable tourism sector while promoting the well-being of local communities.
