KETENGAH PARTICIPATES IN KKDW QUALITY AND INNOVATION AWARD COMPETITION 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, 29 September 2026 – The Central Terengganu Development Board (KETENGAH) participated in the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) Quality and Innovation Award Competition 2026 in the Best AI Innovation Award category, held at the MARA Knowledge Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
In its participation, KETENGAH highlighted the KETENGAH AI-Powered Responsive Assistant (K-AIRA) innovation, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based system introduced to strengthen the management and monitoring of KETENGAH projects.
The KETENGAH team was led by the Information and Communication Technology Development Manager, Encik Hazroll Eizwal bin Jasni, in presenting K-AIRA as an innovation with the potential to help organisations identify project risks earlier and support more proactive actions.
Besides KETENGAH, the Best AI Innovation Award category was also participated by Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM), RISDA, and KEJORA.
This participation aligns with KETENGAH's efforts to leverage digital technology advancements to strengthen management and service delivery. The use of AI technology through K-AIRA is expected to help project management be implemented more systematically, efficiently, and proactively.
These efforts are also in line with KETENGAH's role in implementing economic and social development in the KETENGAH Region. Effective implementation of development projects is crucial in ensuring that facilities and development initiatives are delivered well and benefit the community, especially rural residents.
KETENGAH's participation in this competition also serves as a platform to highlight the potential use of AI technology in strengthening the efficiency of service delivery and supporting more sustainable rural development efforts.
