The Terengganu Tengah Development Authority (KETENGAH) today received an official visit from the FELCRA Malaysia Berhad Participants’ Cooperative (KPFB), led by KPFB Chairman, YBhg. Dato’ Haji Sabari bin Misran. Also present were KPFB Chief Executive Officer, En. Shahran bin Yunus, along with several senior management members of the cooperative.

This visit follows the Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) signed on 1 August 2025 between KETENGAH and KPFB. The purpose of the visit was to provide KPFB with the opportunity to directly observe the potential, resources, and investment and economic development opportunities within the KETENGAH region. It is also hoped that the visit will accelerate the implementation of the objectives and strategies outlined in the MoC.

As a premier cooperative in Malaysia, KPFB is seen as playing a key role in strengthening the rural development ecosystem through its extensive expertise and experience. Collaboration with KETENGAH is expected to bring mutual benefits, particularly in terms of economic development, increasing local community income, and creating new employment opportunities.

During the visit, the KPFB delegation was led by KETENGAH General Manager, YM Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, to several project sites, including a poultry farm and a proposed pineapple plantation project. Both projects are viewed as having significant potential, not only to contribute to national food supply sustainability but also to support government agendas in empowering the agro-food sector and positioning rural areas as drivers of new economic growth.

The continued commitment of both parties to strengthen this strategic relationship will serve as a catalyst for creating sustainable added value and become an exemplary model of smart collaboration between the public sector and cooperative movements in Malaysia.
