SAFETY AND ROPE HANDLING COURSE FOR TREE PRUNING OPERATIONS IN KETENGAH TOWNSHIP

Dungun, 24 September 2026 - KETENGAH continues to strengthen the safety and efficiency of its workforce through the organisation of the Safety and Rope Handling Course for Tree Pruning Operations in KETENGAH Township, held from 23 to 24 September 2026. This participation involved 20 staff members from KETENGAH Township, including Tasik Kenyir.
This course was organised by KETENGAH in collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM), Bandar Al Muktafi Billah Shah Branch, as an effort to enhance the knowledge and technical skills of staff in carrying out tree pruning work safely and systematically.
Focus was given to technical guidance and basic understanding related to safety and rope handling, especially for tree pruning operations in the KETENGAH Township area, to help improve efficiency and reduce safety risks when performing duties in the field.
The opening ceremony of this course was officiated by Encik Faizol bin Abd Aziz, Property and Local Authority Manager, KETENGAH, and was also attended by Encik Mohd Hafizi bin Yusoff, Acting Head of the Fire Station, Bandar Al Muktafi Billah Shah Branch.
The organisation of this course also reflects KETENGAH's continuous commitment to empowering staff competency and cultivating a work culture that prioritises safety, especially for tasks involving work in high-risk areas.
This strategic collaboration with JBPM is hoped to be continuously strengthened to ensure that KETENGAH's workforce is always equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and safety awareness in carrying out their responsibilities to provide quality services to the community.
