1 July 2026 – The Right Honourable Tun Wan Ahmad Farid bin Wan Salleh, Chief Justice, together with his delegation, visited Tasik Kenyir. The arrival of the entourage was welcomed by Encik Shamsul Kamal bin Mohd Amin, Head of Free Zone Division, Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH).

The delegation was briefed on KETENGAH's role and functions, as well as an introduction to Tasik Kenyir as a tourism destination, nature conservation area, and a hub for regional socio-economic development. Subsequently, the entourage was taken to visit the Gua Bewah Mini Gallery to appreciate the history, archaeological treasures, and unique heritage found in the Gua Bewah area, which is one of Tasik Kenyir's special attractions.

This visit served as a platform to introduce the tourism potential, heritage, and development in Tasik Kenyir, thereby supporting efforts to promote this area as an international-class tourism destination.

It is hoped that this visit will further strengthen strategic relationships between agencies and reinforce efforts to preserve natural treasures, heritage, and sustainable development in Tasik Kenyir for the benefit of current and future generations.
