YBhg. Dato’ Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) conducted a working visit to the Kampung Pasir Raja Homestay Project on 4 July 2025.

The visit was part of efforts to assess the effectiveness of rural community tourism programs, which aim to enhance the economic well-being of rural residents.

Also present were the Secretary of the KKDW Rural Community Division, the Senior Manager (Corporate) of KETENGAH, and several senior officers from KKDW and KETENGAH. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Chairperson of the Kampung Pasir Raja Federal Village Development and Security Committee (JPKKP) and the local community.

Highlights of the visit included:

-Inspection of homestay houses and local tourism facilities.

-Visit to the “Bumbung Raja” tourism attraction, one of the main natural destinations in the area.

-Participation in the Asyura Porridge Cooking Program organized by the Kampung Pasir Raja Neighborhood Watch (KRT), symbolizing support for local community activities.

YBhg. Dato’ Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) praised the residents’ spirit of cooperation in developing the rural tourism sector and emphasized the importance of continuous collaboration between the community and government agencies to ensure the success of sustainable and inclusive rural development initiatives.
