Working Visit of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) to the Kelah Sanctuary and Kenyir Lake Herbal Park

Lembaga Kemajuan Terengganu Tengah (KETENGAH) was honoured to receive a working visit from the Eastern Zone Program Coordination Committee of the People’s Wellbeing Development Scheme (SPKR), led by YBrs. Encik Zuraime bin Ahmad, Chief Assistant Secretary, People’s Wellbeing Division, Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), to the Kelah Sanctuary and Kenyir Lake Herbal Park.
The visit was held in conjunction with the Eastern Zone SPKR Program Coordination Meeting. During the tour, YBrs. Encik Zuraime bin Ahmad personally observed the potential and development of facilities at this community-based tourism site.
The main objective of the visit was to establish the Kelah Sanctuary as a reference model for the implementation of the Community Wellbeing Program (PKS) under KKDW initiatives, emphasizing a balance between economic development, social progress, and environmental conservation for the benefit of the local community.
KETENGAH expressed its highest appreciation and gratitude to YBrs. Encik Zuraime for his presence and support of KETENGAH’s ongoing efforts to empower the well-being of rural communities.
It is hoped that the close collaboration between KETENGAH and KKDW will continue to contribute to the successful implementation of inclusive and sustainable rural community development agendas.
