New Year 2025 Message

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Greetings of Malaysia Madani and Let’s Build Together.
Alhamdulillah, all praise and gratitude be to Allah SWT, for by His will, we have stepped into the New Year 2025 with renewed spirit. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all members of KETENGAH for their commitment and dedication throughout 2024.
The year 2024 was full of challenges, yet we successfully recorded numerous achievements in implementing development projects for the benefit of the people in the KETENGAH region. The implementation of these projects aligns with the mission of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), which is to enhance the welfare of rural communities comprehensively and effectively.
Dear KETENGAH staff,
In terms of development expenditure performance for 2024, we achieved 85.64%. While this is a commendable achievement, we should not be complacent but instead redouble our efforts to ensure 100% expenditure performance in 2025, cementing our role as the leading rural development agency in the KETENGAH region.
Throughout 2024, several notable accomplishments were achieved, including winning the Public Service Technical Innovation Award with the KETENGAH Water Warning System Project (SPAIK) and securing second place in the Madani Creative Video Innovation Award for the video titled “Mendung Menyinsing” during the KKDW Innovation Day 2024. In addition, KETENGAH was among eleven Federal Statutory Bodies awarded the Standard Accounting System Compliance Certificate for Government Agencies (SAGA) by the Accountant General’s Department of Malaysia. These successes were the result of collective effort and teamwork among management, officers, and staff.
Dear KETENGAH staff,
In 2025, KETENGAH has been allocated RM53,229,200 to implement and fund 32 programmes/projects, comprising 3 new programmes/projects worth RM3,400,000 and 29 ongoing programmes/projects totaling RM49,829,200. The approved programmes/projects are based on the KETENGAH Strategic Planning Plan 2021–2025, which focuses on five pillars: economy and entrepreneurship, community development, infrastructure development, environment, and service delivery. This allocation is a significant responsibility, and all programmes/projects must be executed to ensure a meaningful impact on the KETENGAH community.
Among the programmes/projects under the economy and entrepreneurship pillar are agrotech projects and the implementation of smart villages, which include establishing smart farming areas using Internet of Things (IoT) elements, as well as “Intellectual Tuition” under the community development pillar. In addition, infrastructure upgrading projects such as drainage systems and connecting roads will be implemented under the infrastructure development pillar. KETENGAH will also implement sewage system upgrades under the environment pillar and enhance information infrastructure networks under the service delivery pillar.
In preparation for the Visit Malaysia Year 2026, KETENGAH will also play a role in upgrading facilities at tourist attractions within the region, particularly at Tasik Kenyir.
Dear KETENGAH staff,
I am confident that with renewed determination and unwavering spirit, we will overcome challenges and achieve even greater success in 2025. As public servants, we must be prepared to shoulder increasing responsibilities, carrying them out with integrity and sincerity.
In line with the government’s efforts to ensure quality and efficient public service, the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) has been introduced. This year, a new annual performance evaluation system, MyPERFORMANCE, will be implemented, assessing five elements: work output, functional competency, behavioral competency, engagement and contribution, and core values. Therefore, all KETENGAH staff must demonstrate excellent performance to enhance public service productivity.
Let us work hand in hand and continue striving to give our best for KETENGAH and the people of the KETENGAH region. May this new year bring more opportunities, success, and prosperity to us all.
I also pray that Allah SWT grants us guidance and strength to fulfil our responsibilities with dedication and commitment, ensuring that all planned programmes/projects are successfully realised.
In conclusion, I would like to once again thank everyone who has worked tirelessly to support and advance KETENGAH. May 2025 be a year filled with remarkable achievements, and together we will continue to elevate KETENGAH to greater heights.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025
