5 July 2026
Kenyir Snakehead Battle 2026

The 15th Kenyir Snakehead Battle programme was successfully held from 4 to 5 July 2026 at Tasik Kenyir. This prestigious programme successfully brought together 122 participants from within and outside the country, including five famous influencers from Indonesia.

The organisation of this programme aims to gather avid anglers from various locations, while strengthening efforts to promote Tasik Kenyir as a major tourist destination and empowering the national fishing sports industry. This programme also serves as a platform to increase the attractiveness of Tasik Kenyir as a preferred destination for tourists and the angling community.

For the Individual Category, the champion was awarded to a participant from JCC (B) Group after successfully landing a fish weighing 6.28 kilograms (kg). Meanwhile, for the Team Category, JCC (A) Group emerged as the champion after successfully landing six fish with a total weight of 17.02 kg.

The closing ceremony and prize presentation were officiated by Tuan Haji Mahdi Amin bin Ahmad, Deputy General Manager (Operations) of KETENGAH.

KETENGAH hopes that the organisation of programmes like this can be continued in the future as an effort to strengthen Tasik Kenyir's position as a prestigious tourism and fishing sports destination. In addition, this programme is expected to attract more tourists and stimulate the economic growth of the local community around the KETENGAH region and Tasik Kenyir.
