Aid for House Fire Disaster in Kampung Jerangau Sungai, Dungun Residents

Misfortune struck a family of four residing in a house in Kampung Jerangau Sungai, Dungun, Terengganu when their home was completely destroyed by fire yesterday. The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 PM and is believed to have been caused by a short circuit, which also destroyed the family’s motorcycle. The total extent of the loss has yet to be determined.
According to Puan Midah binti Talib, “The fire spread so rapidly that it hindered our efforts to save valuable belongings. We were only able to save ourselves, our children, and grandchildren.” Currently, Puan Midah is taking shelter at her daughter’s nearby residence.
As a gesture of concern, KETENGAH provided emergency aid of RM2,000 through the KETENGAH Foundation as part of its social responsibility to alleviate the family’s burden.
The General Manager of KETENGAH, YM Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, personally delivered the aid. Also present were the Deputy General Manager (Operations), Tuan Haji Ahmad Fakaruddin bin Ahmad, Head of Community and Social Development, Encik Faizol bin Ab Aziz, Coordinator of Dun Bukit Besi, Encik Mohd Asri bin Mohamad, Cikgu Mohd Ridhuan bin Ishak, and local community leaders.
