WORKING VISIT OF THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE MALAYSIAN VOLUNTEER DEPARTMENT TO HERB GARDEN, TASIK KENYIR

Hulu Terengganu, 2 September 2026 - The Central Terengganu Development Board (KETENGAH) was pleased to receive a visit from the Malaysian Volunteer Department led by YBhg. Datuk Rosli bin Yaakub, Director-General of the Malaysian Volunteer Department, for a working visit to the Herb Garden, Tasik Kenyir.
During the visit, KETENGAH also briefed the delegation on one of the tourism products developed by KETENGAH, specifically to introduce herbal products and the uniqueness of tourism destinations in Tasik Kenyir.
As a symbolic gesture of the visit, YBhg. Datuk Rosli bin Yaakub also officiated the planting of a herb tree. This activity symbolises a shared commitment towards environmental preservation, biodiversity sustainability, and the development of the potential of herbal plants as a tourism attraction.
It is hoped that this visit will strengthen the cooperative relationship between the Malaysian Volunteer Department and KETENGAH, while supporting efforts to elevate Tasik Kenyir as a competitive and sustainable tourism destination.
