Signing Ceremony of the Sales and Purchase Agreement (FA) for the Fragrant Watermelon Plantation Contract

The signing ceremony of the Sales and Purchase Agreement (FA) for the Fragrant Watermelon (Jade Dew) plantation contract between KETENGAH-guided entrepreneur, Encik Shariman bin Abd Rahman, the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), and the Jade Dew Planting Gimmick was held at the AMBS Kontan Plantation Pilot Project, Bandar Al Muktafi Billah Shah, Dungun.
The ceremony was witnessed by YM Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, General Manager of KETENGAH, and Encik Muhamad Fadlee bin Hassan, Director of FAMA Terengganu, and was also attended by Tuan Haji Ahmad Fakaruddin bin Ahmad, Deputy General Manager (Operations), Encik Zainuddin bin Hj Md. Zaki, Deputy General Manager (Development), KETENGAH Management, FAMA officers, and officials from the Department of Agriculture.
A total of 15,000 plants have been planted and are expected to be harvested on 24 July 2024, with an estimated yield of 50 metric tons.
Immediately following the ceremony, a Jade Dew Planting Gimmick was conducted as a symbolic launch of the project. YM Dato’ also took the opportunity to visit the KETENGAH Food Valley Project in conjunction with a community gotong-royong program involving KETENGAH-guided entrepreneurs.
