In Conjunction with the Celebration of Maulidur Rasul 1446H/2024M, the Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH) Successfully Organized the Maulidur Rasul Parade Program

In conjunction with the celebration of Maulidur Rasul 1446H/2024M, the Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH) successfully held the Maulidur Rasul Parade Program at Bandar Seri Bandi, Kemaman on 28 September 2024 (Saturday), corresponding to 24 Rabiul Awal 1446H.

The program, organized in collaboration with Federal and State Government Departments in the Kemaman District as well as local residents within the KETENGAH region, involved a total of 1,000 participants. This included KETENGAH Management, Officers and Staff, KETENGAH Holding Subsidiary Company (KHSB), representatives of department heads and government agencies, as well as 16 parade contingent teams comprising residents of Bandar Seri Bandi.

To enliven the program, a Best Parade Contingent competition was held, evaluated by a judging committee appointed and led by the Kemaman District Religious Office. For this year’s parade contingent competition, the winners of each category received cash prizes of RM600.00. The runners-up received RM500.00, third place RM400.00, while consolation prizes of RM200.00 were awarded to each participating contingent team.

Among the 16 participating contingents across three competition categories, the contingent from JPKKP Kampung Sungai Ibok was selected as the Champion in the Federal Village Development and Security Committee (JPKKP) / Community Residents category. For the Primary and Secondary School Students category, the winner was the contingent from SMK Seri Bandi. Meanwhile, the Champion in the Plantation / Company category was the contingent from TDM Plantation Sdn. Bhd.

YM Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri Bin Tengku Musa, KETENGAH General Manager, representing the Chairman of KETENGAH, attended and joined the parade, subsequently officiating the Closing Ceremony and Prize Presentation. The program concluded at 12:00 noon with a luncheon.

In his speech, the General Manager of KETENGAH stated that although the competition prizes may not be of high value, the spirit and noble values that can be appreciated through the celebration of this Islamic occasion are very important for fostering unity within the community, thereby fulfilling the government’s aspiration to achieve the Malaysia Madani vision.

He also expressed hope that such programs could be further enhanced in the future with activities that attract participation from various parties in the region.
