The KETENGAH Family Club Family Day 2024 was celebrated enthusiastically with the attendance of 1,500 family members. The event took place at Holiday Villa Resort & Spa, Cherating, Pahang, with a beach-themed “Hawaii” concept over 2 days and 1 night.

The program coincided with the school holidays, allowing participants to take the opportunity to relax and spend quality time together, away from daily routines and work commitments. This opportunity was fully utilized to enjoy themselves and relieve stress alongside their beloved families.

The KETENGAH Family Day has been held eight times, with the first event taking place on 30 October 1997 at Pusat Pupuk Semangat, Telok Pucong, Kemaman. The most recent event was held on 24 February 2018 at De Rhu Beach Resort, Balok, Pahang.

The main objective of the Family Day is to strengthen the bonds of friendship and camaraderie among KETENGAH staff and to serve as a link between KETENGAH and the extended KETENGAH family.

The opening ceremony was officiated by the Chairman of KETENGAH, YBhg Dato’ Seri (Dr) Haji Ahmad bin Said. The Chairman said, “I am deeply touched and surprised tonight by the presence of 1,500 attendees. Therefore, I believe that with tonight’s gathering, I ask everyone to support their spouses so that they can provide the best service to KETENGAH and help it emerge as one of the leading agencies.”

The General Manager of KETENGAH, YM Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, in his speech, stated, “The staff under my supervision would not be able to excel in performing their duties without the cooperation of all of you – whether wives, husbands, or children. I am truly grateful to everyone who has supported KETENGAH all this while.”

On the second day, various fun sports activities were held, featuring nine events, including drawing and coloring competitions, five-stone game (batu seremban), putting golf, shooting goals, beach volleyball, caring relay, and candy grab. Exciting prizes and lucky draws were also provided.

Yang Berusaha Tuan Haji Ahmad Fakaruddin bin Ahmad, Deputy General Manager (Operations) and President of the KETENGAH Family Club (3K Club), expressed his appreciation and thanks to everyone who contributed to making this Family Day a success.

It is hoped that this Family Day will achieve its objectives. Thanks are also extended to the Committee Members of the KETENGAH Family Club who organized this event in collaboration with NGOs, namely PUSPANITA KETENGAH, AKRAB, and the Joint Department Council (MBJ).
