KETENGAH ENGAGES BUKIT BESI COMMUNITY, SUPPORTS ENTREPRENEURS AND CARES FOR COMMUNITY WELFARE

The Central Terengganu Development Board (KETENGAH) continues to strengthen its relationship with the local community through the organisation of the KETENGAH Management 'Mengeteh' Programme with the Community, held at Warung Roti Nan, Bandar Bukit Besi, today.
The programme was led by KETENGAH General Manager, YM Dato' Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, and was also attended by YBhg. Dato' Dr. Haji Din bin Adam, Chairman of KEMAS Dungun Parliament Community, KETENGAH management line-up, medical officers from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), JPKKP Chairman, and JPKKP committee members.
Beginning with a morning tea session and a casual meeting with the community, this programme served as a direct interaction platform between KETENGAH management and the community to share views, listen to aspirations, and understand the needs of local residents.
The programme also included two main components: the distribution of aid through the Start Right Programme (PSR) and 'Ziarah Kasih' (Caring Visit) to residents in Kampung Bukit Besi and Perumahan Bukit Besi.
Through the Start Right Programme 2026, a total of five entrepreneurs benefited from an overall allocation of **RM100,000.00**, involving training and coaching assistance, as well as the provision of business equipment.
The five beneficiaries are Muhammad Azrullah bin Osman, Muhammad Zaharin bin Mohd Shafie, Che Wan Mohd Faiz Fiqri bin C.W. Azrolmadi, Mohd Hidayat bin Ismail, and Nurul Iffah Masturah binti Azuhan, who are involved in businesses such as electrical and electronics, mobile/gadget repair, barber services, automotive, and arts and design/decoration, respectively.
This initiative is hoped to help entrepreneurs enhance their skills, strengthen business operations, and expand their economic potential to a better level.
At the same time, the 'Ziarah Kasih' component was also carried out through visits to the homes of residents in the JPKKP Kampung Bukit Besi and JPKKP Perumahan Bukit Besi areas. Through this programme, contributions in the form of food baskets and cash were presented to six recipients as a sign of KETENGAH's concern and support for those in need.
The six recipients of the contributions were Noorhayati binti Ab. Rahim, Salmah binti Taib, Saidin bin Haya, Wan Samsuddin Wan A Kadir, Nor Farah Fazilah binti Hamzaini, and Roziani binti Hamid.
The implementation of these three components reflects KETENGAH's continuous commitment to comprehensive development, not only through economic and entrepreneurial empowerment but also by paying attention to the welfare and well-being of the community.
Through this grassroots approach and direct interaction, KETENGAH hopes that the relationship between the agency and the community will continue to be strengthened, thereby ensuring that every development initiative implemented can provide benefits and positive impact to the community in the KETENGAH region.
