NAPOH, KEDAH – In an effort to strengthen strategic relationships and expand the network of cooperation between regional development agencies, a delegation from the Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH) visited the KEDA Napoh Small and Medium Industries (IKS) after completing a benchmarking visit on digitalisation at the Kedah Regional Development Authority (KEDA) in the morning.
This visit focused on exploring the potential for IKS enterprise development through experience sharing and direct exposure to the success of KEDA-guided entrepreneurs, particularly at Saljio Ice Cream Factory and Nokona Chocolate Factory.
Throughout the visit, the KETENGAH delegation had the opportunity to observe the operational processes of both enterprises, including aspects of product production, business management, and the approaches used to ensure the continuity and development of food industry-based enterprises.
The sharing session also provided insights into the role of agency support and guidance in helping entrepreneurs enhance business capabilities, strengthen product competitiveness, and explore wider market opportunities.
The delegation was also welcomed by KEDA Deputy General Manager (Operations), Encik Mohd Azam bin Omar. Also present representing KETENGAH was Deputy General Manager (Operations), Tuan Haji Mahdi Amin bin Ahmad.
This visit served as an important platform for both agencies to exchange views, share experiences, and identify the best approaches to empower entrepreneurial development, especially in the small and medium enterprise sector.
In addition to strengthening relations between KEDA and KETENGAH, this visit is hoped to open doors for closer future collaborations, thereby adding value to entrepreneurial development efforts and economic growth in their respective regions.
