Bandar Ketengah Jaya, 14 February 2026 – KETENGAH continued its string of achievements by emerging as champion in the Traditional Cooking Competition held in conjunction with the FELDA Terengganu Carnival 2026 at Padang Astaka, Bandar Ketengah Jaya.

For the competition, KETENGAH fielded four teams comprising two teams of KETENGAH staff, one team representing PUSPANITA, and one team from participants of Suri Impian (SURIA) KETENGAH.

Based on the judges’ evaluation, the KETENGAH staff team was declared champion of the Traditional Cooking Competition, bringing distinction to the agency at this year’s carnival. The winning team presented “Ikan Siakap Masak Singgang Asam Pedas Terengganu”, in line with the theme “Macam Dulu-Dulu” (As in the Old Days). The dish captured the judges’ attention and appreciation through its authentic traditional flavour, balanced use of spices and distinctive preparation.

In addition, the representative from the Suri Impian (SURIA) KETENGAH programme delivered an impressive performance by securing fifth place overall.

This success demonstrates that the active participation of KETENGAH personnel alongside target groups such as PUSPANITA and community development programme participants can generate positive synergy. Such initiatives not only strengthen a sense of solidarity but also serve as a platform to promote cultural heritage and the broader potential of communities within the KETENGAH region.
