LATEST REPORT ON THE FLOOD SITUATION IN THE KETENGAH REGION

The Ketengah region continues to experience flooding due to continuous rainfall affecting the districts of Dungun, Kemaman, and Hulu Terengganu. The number of evacuees has been increasing since 28 November 2025, prompting the opening of additional Temporary Evacuation Centres (PPS) to accommodate affected residents.
Developments on 28 November 2025 (2:30 PM)
Initially, nine PPS were in operation across Dungun and Kemaman, housing 574 evacuees from 86 families.
Dungun: Three PPS were opened for 135 evacuees. Sekolah Agama Al Najmi accommodated 25 evacuees, Dewan KH Shukor housed 51 evacuees, and Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Pasir Raja served as the largest centre in the district with 59 evacuees.
Kemaman: Six PPS accommodated 439 evacuees, with Masjid Padang Kubu recording the highest number at 208 evacuees.
Developments on 28 November 2025 (7:00 PM)
The number of PPS increased to 11, comprising three in Dungun, six in Kemaman, and two in Hulu Terengganu, with a total of 765 evacuees from 206 families.
KETENGAH intensified relief efforts by distributing Disaster Relief Kits to affected PPS. KETENGAH representative, YBrs. Encik Hasri bin Omar, personally delivered essential supplies to PPS Sekolah Kebangsaan Ibok and PPS Masjid Kampung Padang Kubu. KETENGAH also expressed appreciation to all parties involved in expediting the delivery of aid.
Developments on 29 November 2025 (12:00 Noon)
Flooding continues to worsen. A total of 16 PPS are now operational across the Ketengah region, accommodating 825 evacuees from 242 families. The details by district are as follows:
Dungun – 4 PPS in operation:
Sekolah Agama Al Najmi Ketengah Jaya (30 evacuees)
Dewan Semai Bakti Felda Kerteh 4 (112 evacuees)
Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Shukor (143 evacuees)
Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Pasir Raja (113 evacuees)
Kemaman – 10 PPS in operation, the most affected district:
Masjid Padang Kubu recorded the highest number of 251 evacuees
SK Ibok (151 evacuees)
Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Air Putih/Teladas (91 evacuees)
Other PPS include Felda Kerteh 5, Seberang Tayur Hulu, Batu 16 Tebak, Felda Neram 2, Batu 14, Kampung Dadong, and Kampung Batu 14, accommodating smaller numbers of evacuees
Hulu Terengganu – 2 PPS in operation:
Balai Raya Kampung Durian Kassim (13 evacuees)
Surau Lubok Batu (11 evacuees)
Throughout this period, KETENGAH remains committed to distributing Disaster Relief Kits and ensuring the welfare of all evacuees at the operational PPS.
