The Suri Impian (SURIA) Programme has been continuously implemented from 2022 to 2025, aiming to provide skills training and support in the form of machines and equipment to help increase the income of single mothers and housewives, while improving the overall standard of living for their families.
On Wednesday, 8 October 2025, a monitoring visit was conducted to the premises of SURIA programme participants from the 2024 and 2025 cohorts. The visit was led by the Deputy General Manager (Development), Encik Zainuddin bin Hj Md. Zaki, accompanied by several KETENGAH officers. The main purpose of the visit was to assess the progress and effectiveness of the projects implemented under the programme.
During the visit, the monitoring team observed participants’ business activities, which included sewing projects and the sale of food products. Participants demonstrated strong commitment in managing their respective projects. They were also provided with advice and suggestions for improvement to ensure their projects continue to grow sustainably.
Overall, the monitoring visit ran smoothly and achieved its objectives. Participants are encouraged to continue enhancing the quality of their products and strengthen their position in the local market. Programmes like SURIA are expected to provide ongoing benefits to the community and contribute to the improvement of the local economy.
