Opening Ceremony of the IDEA@KKDW Seminar on ICT Security Awareness

The Opening Ceremony of the IDEA@KKDW Seminar on ICT Security Awareness was officiated today by Dato’ Afandi Bin Nordin, Deputy Chief Secretary (Policy).
The seminar was organized to provide knowledge on cyber threats and best practices in ICT security, which are increasingly critical in today’s rapidly evolving digital world. It also demonstrates a strong commitment to raising awareness on cybersecurity.
Various key topics were shared during the seminar, including types of cyber threats, effective prevention measures, and ways to protect oneself from cyber crimes such as online fraud, ransomware, and identity theft.
Cybercrime cases in Malaysia have shown a concerning increase, with over 5,900 cases in 2023 and nearly 5,200 cases in 2024.
KKDW is also committed to digitalizing rural development through the KKDW Digitalization Strategic Plan 2021–2025.
With ISO/IEC 27001:2023 certification, KKDW continues to ensure ICT security across all organizational levels while fostering awareness to tackle future technological challenges.
