The One Village, One Leader Programme (Santuni Madani) – Youth Social Intervention (INSAN) in the KETENGAH Region, 2025 was recently held at Sekolah Kebangsaan Landas, Ajil, Hulu Terengganu on Friday, 21 February 2025.
Kampung Baru Sungai Binjai was selected from 115 traditional villages across the KETENGAH region by YM Dato’, General Manager of KETENGAH, as the “adopted village” for the Santuni Madani programme.
The programme aims to enhance the potential of the village and the community’s capabilities through engagement processes to identify residents’ problems and needs, and subsequently implement solutions aligned with the principles of Localised Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
With the theme of Drug Prevention Education and in collaboration with the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), the programme featured activities such as talks, group-based training sessions (LDK), and anti-drug exhibitions. Side activities were also organised for parents, youth, children, and the local community, including penalty shoot-outs, netball shooting, fun sports, and colouring competitions.
Participation from the residents of Kampung Baru Sungai Binjai and the local community was very encouraging, with more than 350 participants involved. This demonstrates the strong commitment of rural residents in the KETENGAH region, supported by excellent cooperation from JPKKP Kampung Baru Sungai Binjai, the management of Sekolah Kebangsaan Landas, and KETENGAH management, ensuring the programme ran smoothly.
YM Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, General Manager of KETENGAH, officiated the closing ceremony and presented competition prizes and lucky draw rewards.
The event was also attended by YM Tengku Mahri bin Tengku Chik, KETENGAH Board Member, the Headmaster of Sekolah Kebangsaan Landas, and the KETENGAH management team.
