The construction of the Bandar Ketengah Jaya Islamic Centre in Mukim Rasau, Dungun, Terengganu has been fully completed and was officially handed over in a simple ceremony held at the project site yesterday.

The handover document signing ceremony involved Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Haji Abdul Kahar bin Abdul Latif, Federal Development Director (ICU) Terengganu, Tuan Ir. Ts. Izham bin Ashab @ Izhab, Senior Civil Engineer of JKR KETENGAH and Representative of the Chief Supervising Officer, and Encik Zainuddin bin Haji Md. Zaki, Deputy General Manager (Development) of KETENGAH, witnessed by Tuan Haji Ahmad Fakaruddin bin Ahmad, Deputy General Manager (Operations) of KETENGAH, and Tuan Ir. Onni Dzasman bin Nasruddin, Senior Civil Engineer, Building Works Branch AM 1, JKR Malaysia.

The Bandar Ketengah Jaya Islamic Centre not only serves as a new landmark in Bandar Ketengah Jaya, but will also function as a centre for spiritual guidance for the local community. The facility is designed to be a hub for educational and religious enrichment, offering Quranic classes, religious lectures, and various Islamic education programmes.

In addition, the centre will serve as a community activity hub, hosting religious events, celebrations of Islamic occasions, and welfare programmes that unite the community.

The construction of this centre reflects the continuous efforts of the government and agencies to strengthen social and spiritual development, while supporting the well-being and unity of the community.

Also present at the ceremony were the Division Managers of KETENGAH, JKR KETENGAH, ICU officers, representatives from various departments and agencies, as well as the project contractors.
