Student Visit Session to the National Youth Skills Institute

On 21 October 2024, a total of 48 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates, accompanied by 16 teachers, visited the National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN) in Kemasik, Kemaman. This visit was part of the Motivation Program under the Young Intellectual Tuition Program (ILMU) for the KETENGAH Region 2024.
The program aimed to expose SPM students to opportunities for further education in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
The visit provided selected students from secondary schools in the KETENGAH region with a hands-on experience of the learning environment at the institute, including exposure to lecture halls, practical workshops, training hostels, styling studios, and other learning facilities.
Organised by the Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH), the program was managed by Kolej Ketengah in collaboration with the Terengganu State Education Department and the relevant District Education Offices.
It is hoped that visits like this will inspire students and broaden their perspectives on continuing education after SPM. Pursuing studies in skills or TVET fields is highly encouraged, as these areas offer wide-ranging career opportunities and the potential for high income for qualified individuals in the future.
