On 24 June 2024 (Monday), an Informative Visit to the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) Serdang was conducted, led by Mr. Zainuddin bin Haji Md. Zaki, Deputy General Manager (Development), Mr. Mohd Faiq bin Mohd Abd Majid, Manager of Economics and Entrepreneurship, along with five officers and staff from the Economics and Entrepreneurship Division.

The briefing and visit were accompanied by Ms. Nor Hazlina binti Mat Saat, Deputy Director of the Plant Breeding Programme, Horticultural Research Centre, MARDI Serdang, Mr. Faiz bin Musa, Research Officer of the Inter-Agency Cooperation Division, and MARDI officers from the Horticultural Research Division.

The main objective of this informative visit was to gain knowledge and understanding of onion cultivation, including planting, maintenance, disease control, and post-harvest handling.

Overall, the visit is expected to provide valuable insights and enhance knowledge in the field of agriculture.
