Working Visit of the Chairman and Board Members of KETENGAH to the Southeast Johor Development Authority (KEJORA)

Various initiatives have been planned and implemented by KETENGAH in its efforts to realise the food security agenda. One such initiative is the planning of a coconut cultivation project to be carried out by KETENGAH through its subsidiary company, aimed at reducing dependence on imports and meeting the demand for fresh coconuts and coconut-based products in the market.
YBhg. Dato’ Seri (Dr.) Haji Ahmad bin Said, Chairman of KETENGAH, together with the Board Members, conducted a working visit to KEJORA to observe the Coconut Cultivation Project in Semberong, Johor. Also present were YM Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Nadzri bin Tengku Musa, General Manager of KETENGAH, and Encik Ramli bin Shahul Hameed, Group Chief Executive Officer of Ketengah Holding Sdn. Bhd.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss potential collaborations, such as sharing expertise and experience in the field of agrotourism, particularly in coconut cultivation, as implemented by KEJORA, while further strengthening the existing ties of friendship and cooperation.
The KETENGAH delegation was hosted at a dinner ceremony with Yang Berhormat Tuan Aznan bin Tamin, Chairman of the Johor State Committee for Education and Information; Yang Berbahagia Tuan Haji Miswan bin Yunos, District Officer of Kota Tinggi; Yang Berhormat Datin Paduka Hajah Hazlina binti Jalil, General Manager of KEJORA; Yang Berusaha Puan Hajah Azurawati binti Wahid, District Officer of Kluang and Board Member of KEJORA; and KEJORA management.
The delegation was taken to visit the proposed site for the KEJORA coconut cultivation project at Sungai Sembrong Kiri, Kluang, Johor, and also toured a commercial poultry farm and a durian plantation managed by Kejora Agro Sdn. Bhd.
It is hoped that the strategic collaboration between KETENGAH and KEJORA will continue to strengthen, enabling regional development agendas to be advanced for the betterment of rural communities.
