A total of 76 SPM students in the TVET stream, accompanied by 6 teachers from 8 secondary schools across the KETENGAH Region, participated in an educational study visit to Malacca in conjunction with National TVET Day 2025, organized by KETENGAH through the Community and Social Development Division.

The visit aimed to provide early exposure for students to educational opportunities in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), which are increasingly relevant and in demand in today’s job market.

Key highlights of the program included students attending the National TVET Day 2025 Opening Ceremony, officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), Ayer Keroh.

Participants also visited the TVET exhibition, which featured various institutions and agencies related to technical and vocational fields. Interactive activities, educational information, and demonstrations successfully broadened students’ understanding of future career potentials in TVET.

Following the official program, students toured several historical sites in Melaka City, including:

🏛️ Independence Proclamation Memorial

🏞️ Bukit Melaka

🏰 A Famosa Fort

🏯 Malacca Sultanate Museum

The visit not only benefited students academically and in terms of career awareness, but also instilled a sense of national identity and patriotism among the youth.

KETENGAH hopes this exposure will inspire and raise awareness among students, encouraging them to consider TVET as a preferred pathway after SPM, ultimately producing skilled professionals capable of driving the development of the KETENGAH Region and the nation.
