KETENGAH continued its noble efforts in providing aid to flood victims affected in the KETENGAH region. Kemaman was among the districts severely impacted by the second wave of floods that hit several areas in the state. As a gesture of concern, 85 disaster relief kits were distributed across three Temporary Evacuation Centres (PPS) in the district: Dewan Serbaguna Felda Seberang Tayor (67 kits), Masjid Batu 14 Kuala Tayor (4 kits), and Dora Batu 14, Kuala Tayor (14 kits).

The assistance is part of KETENGAH’s ongoing effort to ease the burden of flood victims. The distribution was carried out by YBrs. Dr. Mohd Zaki bin Haji Salleh, representing KETENGAH Chairman, YBhg. Dato’ Rozi bin Mamat. His presence was warmly received with gratitude and joy by the flood victims.

Dr. Mohd Zaki also took the time to speak with the flood victims at PPS Dewan Serbaguna Felda Seberang Tayor and inspected the flood-affected areas to gain a clearer understanding of the situation faced by the local community.

In addition, he offered words of encouragement to the victims while ensuring that all aid provided was received and utilised effectively. His visit to the PPS allowed for discussions on additional needs and provided moral support to those in the recovery phase.

As of 12:00 noon, a total of 726 victims from 213 families were still accommodated across 13 PPS in the districts of Dungun (2 PPS) and Kemaman (11 PPS).
