PERKEP DUNGUN DISTRICT POLICE HEADQUARTERS EDUCATIONAL VISIT WITH YBHG, TERENGGANU CONTINGENT PERKEP CHAIRMAN TO BUKIT BESI MUSEUM

Bukit Besi Museum received a visit from 17 members of the Police Family Association (PERKEP) of the Dungun District Police Headquarters, Terengganu on 03 September 2026. The visit was led by Puan Wan Nooriziana Binti Ibrahim, the Chairman of the Police Family Association (PERKEP) of the Dungun District Police Headquarters, Terengganu.
This visit aimed to provide exposure and enhance visitors' knowledge about the history of iron ore mining in Bukit Besi, while also offering them the opportunity to view exhibits, historical materials, and information related to the development of the iron ore mining industry, which was once among the largest mining activities in Malaysia.
Through such visits, visitors have the chance to appreciate the history and heritage of Bukit Besi and gain a deeper understanding of the mining industry's contribution to the economic development of the area. It is hoped that this visit will enrich knowledge and raise awareness about the importance of preserving and appreciating the mining historical heritage in the Historic Town of Bukit Besi.
Programs like this also serve as an effective promotional medium to introduce Bukit Besi Museum as an educational and tourism destination based on history and heritage. At the same time, it strengthens cooperation networks between Lembaga Kemajuan Terengganu Tengah (KETENGAH) and government agencies, associations, and external organisations in efforts to expand tourism promotion and heritage education in the KETENGAH Region.
