Pengkalan Gawi, 29 March 2026 – The Heavy Vehicle Rest Area Project for the KETENGAH Region in Pengkalan Gawi has been completed and is now open for public use. This project is part of KETENGAH’s ongoing efforts to enhance the provision of well-planned, safe, and conducive public infrastructure facilities, particularly for heavy vehicles in the area.
The implementation of this project represents a proactive measure to address issues involving heavy vehicles previously parking along road shoulders or in undesignated areas, which posed potential safety risks to road users.
The project scope includes the development of a designated parking area for heavy vehicles, earthworks, and the installation of floodlights to ensure that the facility meets user needs in a more systematic, comfortable, and safe manner.

The successful completion of this project reflects KETENGAH’s continuous commitment to delivering high-quality, high-impact infrastructure development that meets the current needs of the community. This initiative is also in line with aspirations to create a safer and more sustainable environment for the well-being of residents and the holistic development of the KETENGAH Region.
During the same ceremony, the Slope and Jetty Rehabilitation Project at Air Terjun Saok, as well as the Slope and Road Rehabilitation Projects at Pengkalan Gawi and Pengkalan Utama, Tasik Kenyir, Hulu Terengganu, were also officially handed over to the General Manager of KETENGAH following their successful completion.
