ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF LOCAL COMMUNITY ENSURES SUCCESS OF KETENGAH'S 53RD ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

11 April 2026 | The Official Opening Ceremony of KETENGAH's 53rd Anniversary Celebration and Kenduri Sekampung (Village Feast) was held with great fanfare and success simultaneously in three parliamentary constituencies, namely Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman. This program was the culmination and closing event for the entire anniversary celebration, which had begun as early as 7:00 AM with various interesting activities for all segments of society.
The reception from the local community was very encouraging and impressive, reflecting the close relationship between KETENGAH and the communities in its region. The large attendance of residents from various age groups demonstrated strong support for KETENGAH's role as a regional development agency under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), which is consistently committed to empowering socio-economic development and the well-being of the people.
Throughout the program, various activities were organized with the full involvement of the local community. These included the KETENGAH Fun Brisk Walk and Lucky Draw, which attracted many participants, as well as Sports Day and Gotong-Royong Bersama Komuniti (Community Work Party) which fostered a spirit of cooperation and togetherness among residents.
Also held were the Ziarah Kasih program, which reached out to those in need, and the Oil Change Program organized by GIATMARA, which directly benefited the community. For children, the Coloring Contest with KEMAS provided a platform to unearth their talents and creativity in a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere.
In addition, spiritual activities such as Majlis Sejenak Bersama Ilmu (Moment with Knowledge Session) and Solat Hajat (Prayer of Need) were also held to seek blessings and continuous well-being for all KETENGAH staff and the local community. The program concluded with Kenduri Sekampung Bersama KETENGAH, symbolizing the spirit of unity and harmony among the community regardless of background.
Throughout the organization of this program, the active involvement and close cooperation from the local community were truly commendable. Every planned activity received an extraordinary response, proving the strong spirit of togetherness, consensus, and unity within the community.
YBhg. Dato’ Rozi bin Mamat, Chairman of KETENGAH, stated in his speech that, “We will provide the best service to the community in line with the emphasis by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), for every agency to always provide the best service and understand the current needs of the community at the grassroots level.” He said this when officiating the celebration at FELDA Jerangau Barat, Ajil, Hulu Terengganu.
Overall, this 53rd-anniversary celebration not only served as a platform to commemorate KETENGAH's achievements to date but also strengthened the relationship between the agency and the community. It also reflects KETENGAH's continuous commitment to driving inclusive, sustainable, and high-impact regional development for the well-being of the people now and in the future.
